Audio Books

All the audio books in the collection are unabridged and available on cassette tape, CD, or playaway (a preloaded digital audio book) and appeal to the interests of students of all ages. The audio books were added to the collection at the request of teachers to help students develop listening skills. They correlate to the NYS Learning Standards, video titles, and to the Collection Development Program. There are a variety of genres including science fiction, historical fiction, humor, suspense, animal stories and mysteries. Titles can be ordered online through WEB/MAX.

iPod Shuffles

Each iPod shuffle is loaded with one audio book and loaned out to students, teachers, and librarians. This program is still in the piloting phase and it is expected that loan requests will be possible through WEB/MAX beginning the 2008- 2009 school year.
