The Media Library of Genesee Valley BOCES

The Media Library provides three specialized collections of videos to supplement our regular offerings.

The Read Me a Story Collection provides students with a read aloud experience at home. These award winning and well known stories are available on DVD for loan to primary and elementary students. Housed in your library media center, they are as easy to borrow as a book.

The Home Access Collection offers students educational VHS videos and DVDs to view at home. Students can borrow resources on careers, driver's education, health, historical events, multicultural issues, short stories, and the visual arts. SAT & Regents Review are also available from these rotating elementary and middle school collections.

A collection of frequently-requested and seasonally-appropriate video programs housed in your library media center, the Timely Topics Collection provides resources for teachers at the point of need. The VHS tapes complement the curriculum and New York State Learning Standards and are for use in primary and elementary schools. These collections are sent to elementary school library media centers in the fall and spring.
