We the People Bookshelf

The School Library System of Genesee Valley BOCES, applying on behalf of the member libraries of the region, was selected as a recipient of the We the People Bookshelf "Created Equal" project. This collaboration between the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities provides free resources to libraries to help students explore a topic. By reading some of the 17 titles provided K-12, the students of our region will develop a more clear sense of equality. A regional website is being developed to allow students to share these thoughts in writing, as podcasts, and through discussion with peers.

Congratulations also to librarian Clare Keating at York Central School who applied for and was accepted to the We the People Bookshelf project individually.
