Libraries Got Game

Taking their experience and expertise from working with the educators and students in the Genesee Valley region, through the School Library System Game Library, Brian Mayer and Christopher Harris, have co-authored the new book, Libraries Got Game, published by ALA Graphics.
The book delivers an overview of modern board games, making the reader rethink what is a board game. Expanding on the concept of modern board games, the book then provides direct curriculum connections that board games provide with examples of how to integrate board games in to the classroom or library.
Also valuable is a large list of board games, with extensive descriptions and specific applications, that have held up to be especially useful in a library or educational setting. Many of these games can be borrowed through the Game Library.
