Learning 4 Life: AASL Guidelines for Implementation

The American Association of School Librarians has launched an implementation campaign for the Standards for the 21st Century Learner. L4L, Learning 4 Life, provides a framework for implementing the new standards through a series of 18 objectives. Curriculum Mapping - November 10th Workshop

On our first day together this year, we learned about assuming a leadership role through collaboration. On November 10th, learn how to put this into practice as a curriculum leader in your school. Librarians are one of only a handful of people in the school that truly know and support every curriculum area for every grade level. The depth and breadth of our curriculum knowledge makes us perfect collaborative partners for curriculum writing efforts. Come learn the lingo and get engaged in curriculum mapping alongside your colleagues at a regional conference day. The day will feature the TechPaths software (used by about half of our districts) but will really be about curriculum mapping in general. In addition to the group keynotes from national experts in curriculum mapping, the SLS will be providing breakout sessions so we can work on mapping our library curriculum.
