Week 1 - Introductions
This first week will be filled with introductions. We will be learning about each other, the institute, and the tools we will be using for the next 6 weeks. There is a lot of information to cover in the next 6 weeks and we want to make sure that you have a good foundation from which to begin your learning.
Objectives This Week
At the end of this week, you should:
- have a general understanding of Instant Messaging (IM).
- know how to use Drupal in order to log in, post to your blog, and comment on other participant's blogs.
- be able to edit a wiki.
- have an understanding of what the final project will entail.

This week there are no formal presentations, but you will need to read over the following tutorials:
Activities
For this week, please complete all of the following:
- Sign up for a group chat time.
- Create an page on the wiki that is about you. Tell us a few things about yourself, including where you are from, what school you work in, three interesting things about yourself, and anything else you would like to add. Be creative. The password for the wiki is institute.
- Read over the Drupal, IM, and wiki toturials.
- Write a blog post about what you want to accomplish in the next 6 weeks.
- Read over the requirements for the final project.
